Dear parents, players, relatives and stakeholders

We are pleased to announce that we have a full committee for the 2018 season:

In addition, from a workshop conducted on Wednesday 22 November 2017, the committee plus attending to the workshop developed priority areas for the club and established working subcommittees. These working subcommittees will have a lead Representative aligned to each subcommittee who will develop plans and strategies to benefit the Angle Vale Soccer Club overall. Currently it appears as:

Child Safe Protocols – Danielle Hill & Lou Sapio

Communication- Carly Carter & Amanda Lake

Events & Fundraising – Maddie Rundle & Jodi Sargeant

Coaching Coordinator (Juniors) – Claud Ponte

Merchandising – Carly Carter & Amanda Lake

Volunteer Coordinator – VACANT

Club Coordinator – VACANT

Sponsorship – Jarrod Craddock

Equipment – Richard Evans

FFSA – Darren Eves

SAASL – Scott Harris

We still have some lead positions on offer:

- Volunteer Coordinator to help support the activity around the canteen and volunteering overall that keeps the activity at the club alive

- Club Coordinator to organize things like line marking and other requirements the club needs on game days etc.
These subcommittees need active team members to achieve the agreed strategies and plans for 2018. On Wednesday 22 November 2017, a good number of attendees only showed interest to be involved in a subcommittee – which is great! The agenda for ongoing committee meetings will be around these priority areas.

It is only early days but we have seen some great results from collaborative decision making such as:

1. Our registration days for juniors are:
– Current and returning players – Sunday 21 January 2018
– New players – Sunday 11 February 2018

2. Senior players (women/men) can register immediately with the club and go through Darren and Scott respectively.

3. The club has attracted an Accountant who is volunteering her time to set up processes and systems so we can maximize our funds for 2018

4. The club has appointed a men’s senior coach for 2018

5. Plus much more which will be released shortly

Our next Meeting is on Monday 4 December, 6.30pm at the club and if you are interested or want to know more about the Committee, Subcommittee or want to assist generally, please come to the next meeting, contact an active member listed previously or register your interest on the email address – anglevalesc@hotmail.com

In conclusion, the club can’t improve without your structured input – hence why we have developed these subcommittees led by some highly skilled and motivated leaders. The committee members responsible for good governance of the club are also highly skilled, experienced and dedicated to the club’s future. We know we can continuously improve the culture and communication channels and we will.

If you don’t do anything else, please provide the best contact details so we can update our database – phone, email, Facebook etc. PLUS – share this communication with one other person. Why – the Accountant we have engaged is not from the club and was attracted by a committee member promoting the club through Facebook! Therefore if we have 700 + parents, relatives and stakeholders in the club promoting to one other person, we will have a vibrant club in 2018.
